Construction continues on the 5,000 square foot locker room being built at the new Bill Brown stadium. The picture below was taken on August 9. The new locker room is part of a $1.2 million capital campaign to add two significant enhancements at the new Bill Brown Stadium being built by Montgomery County Schools. In addition to the locker room, the BHS Booster Club has announced plans to also add artificial field turf at a future date. Please check out the "Photos" page for more pictures.
The new stadium is now scheduled to open on October 3, 2008 when the Bruins host the Northside Vikings.

Over 250 people have pledged over $910,000 in cash or in kind contributions for the project. We are 3/4 of the way to our goal and to making our “field of dreams” a reality.
We need your help as we continue to raise money for the artificial field turf.
The artificial turf committee with representatives from the Booster Club, the school, the town, the county and the NRUSA are meeting to select the design and vendor for the turf. Our goal is to install the artificial turf during the summer of 2009 in time for the Fall 2009 Football season.
Please take a few minutes today, consider your participation in this campaign, and return your pledge or donation using the form below as soon as possible. Your gift is tax deductible.
Also, back by popular demand, we are having a fall Brick Sale. Check out the link to learn more about buying a brick to recognize your family, your student, your business, or sports team. And, at the same time helping us build our field of dreams.
As you consider the rich tradition of athletics at Blacksburg High School, please do not hesitate to request more information through the high school or the web page. Your support and commitment to our young people at Blacksburg High School and to our community is critical. Thank you!!
